Kamari is a seaside town on the east coast, with a long black sandy beach, many beach bars, hotels, shops and restaurants. The town has a fun, lively atmosphere and is
safe for all the family. There are many water sports, and beachfront tavernas to choose from, and the shops sell beach
accessories and hand-crafted gifts and souvenirs. Locals and visitors alike enjoy the family-fun vibe at Kamari.
PERIVOLOS
Perivolos beach is renowned for a sophisticated atmosphere. The southern end of the 7 km stretch of black volcanic
sand beach that runs from Perissa down to St. George. Here you can enjoy an entire day at the beach. There are luxury beach bars and restaurants, with plush loungers
and umbrellas, as well as every kind of watersport. As the sunsets, go to your favorite bar and have a cocktail mixed
with local herbs and listen to live music.
VLYCHADA
Vlychada beach is unique on the island for its volcano rock formations. While its natural beauty makes Vlychada popular, it is still ideal for those who want to avoid
the crowds. At the main entrance to the beach by the marina there is Santorini Arts Factory with an outdoor exhibition space and museum, and at this end there
is a beach bar with snacks, sun loungers and umbrellas. If you walk the length of the beach you come to the secluded and luxurious Theros Wave Bar, with a quiet secluded beach and a bar-restaurant molded into the rocks.
KATHAROS BEACH
Katharos Beach is the closest beach to Oia, only 2 minutes by car or a 15-minute walk. If you just want to relax in the sun
in peace and quiet, this beach is the one for you. It remains undiscovered, hidden away between rocks and cliffs. The
natural beauty of the black volcanic sands and amazing rock layers make it a unique Santorini experience.
PERISSA BEACH
Perissa beach is the north end of the 7 km stretch of beach running along the south coast. This lively hub is a favorite with families and locals. There is a small village square with a picturesque church and bell tower, and lots of taverns, beach shops, and water sports. On the side of the rock formation Mesa Vouno is organized rock climbing and other side of this lies the beach of Kamari, which you can go to with the little water taxi boat that runs in the summer. The beach at Perissa enjoys protection from the summer winds being surrounded by rising hills on two sides
