Ismail founded Paradise Isle Holidays with a clear vision: to create a travel company that blends his lifelong passion for aviation with a dedication to customer service excellence. Originally from the Maldives and raised in Sri Lanka, he brings a unique cultural perspective and a natural charm that has earned him the respect and admiration of colleagues, partners, and clients alike.
With more than 24 years of experience in the aviation industry, Ismail is highly skilled at making critical decisions under pressure and navigating time-sensitive challenges with confidence and sound judgment. His career has instilled in him the discipline, focus, and resilience that now underpin his leadership at Paradise Isle Holidays.
As CEO, Ismail combines entrepreneurial spirit with strong business acumen to guide the company’s growth and reputation. His easy-going nature and fun-loving personality are balanced by a sharp strategic mind, ensuring that Paradise Isle Holidays continues to deliver seamless, memorable travel experiences while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and trust. “Your world, our care.”
Melani Ahmed
Co-Founder & Executive Director
Melani’s passion for travel began at an early age, shaped by one of her most memorable adventures — an overland journey from England to Sri Lanka with her parents in the winter of 1976. By the age of 28, she had already lived in four countries across three continents, gaining a deep appreciation for diverse cultures and traditions.
With a professional background in IT and extensive experience in the legal and financial services sectors, Melani brings both analytical expertise and strategic insight to Paradise Isle Holidays. She works closely with Ismail to guide the company’s management and long-term direction, ensuring that operational excellence is matched with a personal, customer-focused approach.
Her fascination with global cultures and her love of world cuisine make her a natural ambassador for travel. Outgoing, approachable, and deeply committed to creating meaningful experiences, Melani embodies the spirit of Paradise Isle Holidays.

- Sponsoring Vibzz Maxwell, a London based music artist, assisting with marketing, recording equipment, studio sessions and music releases
- Sponsoring 7 Techwuman STEM activity days throughout the UK which were delivered to 325 children. The STEM Day provides children with the opportunity to take part in a fun filled day of practical activities based around Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) subjects and concepts.
- Working with the University of Salford to support their students studying Tourism. Our team was made available to assist the students, and used Paradise Isle Holidays as a case study for their marketing assignment. Our team briefed the students and answered several rounds of questions allowing them to gain an understanding of our company, and provided them with insight into the workings of a UK based tour operator
